South Milwaukee Goes Pink – October 21, 2014
On October 21, 2014, the entire city of South Milwaukee will be going pink to promote breast cancer awareness. The 5th annual South Milwaukee Goes Pink event would not be possible without the help of South Milwaukee Police Chief Ann Wellens, who brought the Justice for a Cure Foundation to South Milwaukee. Each year, the event grows stronger and gains more support towards the cause and ranks very high nationally when raising funds for breast cancer awareness. We aim as a community to have our best year yet.
One method of raising funds for the Justice for a Cure Foundation is through a t-shirt sale that South Milwaukee has each year. If you do not have pink, shirts specifically made for the day are available for purchase online. There are pictures of the designed shirt below along with a link to the website where you may choose to make a purchase. The prices of the shirts are set at $12.00 for youth sizes, $12.00 for adult sizes, and $14.50 for sizes XXL and up. We ask the entire community to come together and wear pink on October 21. Each contribution made by a member of South Milwaukee is very much appreciated. Orders are due by October 6th.
