We at Pioneer realize the value of employee loyalty and have made it a policy to promote people from within our organization. We firmly believe that this is one of the major reasons we can provide our valued customers with quality service. Our employees have learned and are comfortable with our system and expectations of quality.
Owners Brian and Karen Swessel, along with the Pulaski Inn staff, pride themselves on the quality (and consistency) of the food and service which keeps bringing people back to their Inn year after year. Our food is homemade and prepared on premise from recipes developed over many years.
Brian, a 1981 graduate from the Waukesha Technical College School of Culinary Arts, has been at Pulaski Inn for 28 years and oversees all kitchen operations. Brian worked as a chef at the Clausing Barn Restaurant (operated by the Culinary School) while in school, then began at Pulaski Inn after graduation, working his way up to head chef. Although as owner he is now involved in all aspects of the business, his first love is cooking. He enjoys customizing menus and helping make each meal special and unique. Karen works directly with the customers booking events and helping to ensure that each party at Pulaski Inn goes as smoothly as possible.
Pulaski Inn is a unique and one-of-a-kind banquet facility. It’s reputation is built on high-quality, consistent homemade food and friendly, professional service at a fair price. It is a reputation that has been built over many years of dedication and hard work. We give each client our personal care and attention; you will not be shuffled between different managers or planners. And Brian or Karen are always on-premise during an event.
Brian and Karen genuinely enjoy owning and operating Pulaski Inn. It is a business with a long, unique and rich history that perhaps one day will be passed to their daughter, Monet Elizabeth. In the meantime, Brian and Karen strive to maintain the reputation of quality food and service that keeps bringing generations of families back to Pulaski Inn.
SHERIDAN’S definitely has historical appeal. In 1920, it was “The Sheridan Hotel” and “Palm Gardens” tavern. In 1968, it was remodeled and named “The Fountain Blue.” In 2007, the name “Sheridan’s” was revived by proud new owners, Lee Barczak and Jane Schilz. The building underwent a complete renovation to create this stylish twelve guest room boutique hotel and café for all to enjoy.
